Our history goes back to 2008 when Sr. Ljilja Loncar the founder and president of Udruga Zdenac which is Movement of the Missionaries of Mercy visited the students she had been supporting in education in Tanzania. Her visit made a milestone, when she added to the school fees the component of the equipment needed to foster their pursuance of education. Udruga Zdenac has its bases in Split, and it has spread as far as Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria, and Venezuela.
In 2023, the organization was registered under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act, 2002, made under Section 11 (II) and 17 (2) Act No. 24 of 2002 with the Reg, Nom ooNGO/R/5966, with its headquarters to be within the premises of Ujewa Parish, while Udruga Zdenac remains a main partner.

Zdenac-kisima Tanzania carries out the following projects for the families that need support in Tanzania.
We provide hostels for male and female from the pastoral and nomadic communities and those from poor families.
We raise awareness among students to combat climate change and promote the realization of the SDGs.
Providing study materials for more than 300 students and we pay the tuition fees.
Supporting blessed children, children under the age of 5 who are at risk due to any kind of vulnerability.
Construction of Primary School that will allow us to prepare our students well for their future careers. The entire project will cost TZS 873,000,000.00.
